Moving!!

I'm finally moving out of the crappy-dappy place I'm living now into a nice place with really fun girls. Once I move in I'll post some pictures. I can't wait! I'll be moving (actually Mom and Lindsey will) all weekend long. Thanks guys!!

Culinary School

Chicken Fried Chicken...mmmm. So my group member Kamaile (front and center of picture) entered us into a cooking competition. KODJ 94.1 Radio is kind of sponsering the whole thing. Steve Harmon (back row not in chef uniform) is the DJ on the morning radio show. He needed someone to make his grandma's chiken fried chicken recipe and Kamaile called in to volunteer us. Then the whole thing spiraled out of control. :)

Monday or Wednesday morning of next week (May 19 or 21) we will be competing live against a professional chef. Crazy and exciting all at the same time! There will be a blind taste test and then the winner will be chosen. I don't want to brag, but my group will definately win. :)

The Office Returns

Never Say Never

So, I've been thinking the past couple of days (scary I know) about the things I said I would never do. Here's just a few:
1. Move to Utah
2. Go back to school
3. Clean a restaurant kitchen

Well, as you all know, I've done all three within the past year. What am I thinking?! I guess it just goes to show...never say never.

Baseball is back!

Woohoo!! Baseball's back! Even though I can't watch it as much as I'd like and only the stupid Rockies are on in stupid Utah, I'm still excited that it's back. The Dbacks are off to a great start and I'm looking forward to a good year. Let's go Dbacks! Let's go! *Clap Clap Clap*

School

Well, so much for starting in August. I'm actually starting March 31st! Aahh! My admissions officer (who is absolutely wonderful by the way) called me and said she found a scholarship for me and it was mine as long as I could start on the 31st. So a meeting later here I am ready to start in about 10 days. I'm super excited and a little overwhelmed. The worst part about starting so early is that I'm not gonna get to watch my baseball games like I had planned. oh well! This is better than being a couch potato!

What a great week!

I finally did it. I enrolled in school to get my pastry degree! Woohoo! I'll start in August and can't wait! I'm so excited! I keep looking over the classes I get to take and wow. Overwhelming but awesome!

I also met Dale Murphy today. Super cool! He's such a nice guy. I wish I could have talked to him a little more but oh well. I'm sure I'll talk to him again. I was so happy afterwards I told everyone I saw that I got to meet him. Everyone thought I was crazy, but hey, maybe I am. DALE MURPHY! Ha!!
