More Baseball Boys!

Today I went to a thing at Greenway HS and got to meet a bunch of Dbacks players. Ryan Roberts is in the blue Nike shirt, Trent :) is in the black striped shirt, and Rusty Ryal is in the blue shirt. The best was getting to meet Trent Oeltjen who is a super cute Australian player. The day would have only gotten better if Conor Jackson was there...

Stitches & Cake

Here's pictures of the wedding cake I made for Lindsey. It turned out super nice. I'm happy with it! The top layer was peanut butter cake with chocolate filling. The middle layer (the one they cut) was white cake with rainbow chip frosting. Lindsey used to eat rainbow chip frosting out of the can when she was younger. And the bottom layer was chocolate with chocolate frosting.

As I was putting together the cake I cut myself pretty bad and, for the first time ever in my life, had to go get stitches...6 of them! My thumb is still pretty sore but that's what I get for being dumb. :)

The best two words to a baseball fan...Opening Day. Baseball is finally back and I got to go to the game. It's been a while since I got to be a part of baseball and it was awesome! Finally, life starts again. Here's some pics from opening day.

Kimmy's Trip to the Homeless Shelter

My little sister, Kimmy, has been bugging me to go to a spring training game since February. I finally decided to take her Wednesday night to see the Dbacks play the Rangers. The funny thing is my family had her convinced that she was going to feed the homeless. If you know Kim, you know she's not a very gullable person and for her to believe something like this was hilarious! She even set her facebook status and told her YW leaders that she was going to feed the homeless. Hilarious!

We got in the car and I told her that Conor Jackson would be sad that she wasn't wearing a shirt in support of the Dbacks to the homeless shelter and she asked if we were really going to the shelter or a game. When I told her we were going to a game she was so ANGRY!! She wouldn't talk to me for about 10 minutes and she didn't talk to the rest of the family for about a day. She still doesn't think it's funny, but the rest of us thought it was dang funny!

Here's some pics of who was at the "homeless shelter".

Moving Home

Since I moved to Utah a year and a half ago, I've only wanted to move back home. And now that I have that chance, it is with mixed feelings that I say goodbye to Utah. Don't get me wrong. I HATE Utah...the snow, the culture, the drivers (AGH!). But I finally got to a place where I like my ward, made some great friends, and actually felt comfortable. So, it is with a little sadness that I say goodbye to Utah. I'm moving home in about 2 weeks. YAY!

PS: I still need a job so if anyone in AZ knows of anything please let me know!!

Princess Unicorn!

This is the gift I gave to my Uncle Ron. He asked for a Princess Unicorn and he got it! They don't actually make them, so I had to go find a Barbie and something to make into a horn. I'm really happy with the results and I think he was too!

Costochondritis

So I finally found out why my ribs have been killing me. And for those of you who don't know what it is (I didn't) here's a little explanation:

Costochondritis is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone (sternum). It causes sharp pain in the costosternal joint — where your ribs and breastbone are joined by rubbery cartilage. Pain caused by costochondritis may mimic that of a heart attack or other heart conditions.
Your doctor might refer to costochondritis by other names, including chest wall pain, costosternal syndrome and costosternal chondrodynia. When the pain of costochondritis is accompanied by swelling, it's referred to as Tietze syndrome.
Most cases of costochondritis have no apparent cause. In these cases, treatment focuses on easing your pain while you wait for costochondritis to resolve on its own.
